Position Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming), and toileting assistance as per the care plan.
• Support clients with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and walking assistance as needed.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, ensuring the client’s dietary preferences and restrictions are followed.
• Assist with feeding or meal reminders when necessary.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging the client in stimulating activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Monitor and document the client’s physical and emotional status and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy living environment through light housekeeping, including laundry, vacuuming, and maintaining the client’s living area.
• Ensure the client is taking their medications as prescribed by the healthcare provider and provide reminders for medication intake.
• Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to the supervisor immediately.
• Always maintain client confidentiality and privacy, adhering to HIPAA and other legal standards.
• Attend and complete in-service training sessions as required by Early Cloud Home Care LLC company policies and regulations.
• Work with the supervisor to make updates to the care plan based on the client’s needs and progress.

Job Conditions

• Ability to access homes that may not always be wheelchair accessible.
• Must have sufficient hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity to assist clients with their care needs.
• Ability to lift or move clients, including up to 200 pounds with assistance or as specified in the care plan.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds when assisting with housekeeping tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to provide updates to clients, family members, and supervisors.

Equipment Operation

• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, masks, and gowns, to maintain infection control standards.

Company Information

• Has access to client service records, which may be reviewed and discussed with the supervisor for care planning and improvement purposes.

Qualifications

• Be at least age 16 or older
• Have at least one year of verifiable previous personal care experience or successfully has completed our free HHA certification course. 
• Must pass a background check as required by the employer.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Must provide proof of a recent TB (Tuberculosis) test with negative results or clearance from a healthcare provider.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team with family members and other healthcare professionals.
• Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to respect client confidentiality and follow ethical practices in all aspects of care.
• Prior experience in home care or healthcare settings preferred but not required.
• Must be physically capable of performing all required duties and lifting assistance as needed.
